- Aliette WDG Brand Fungicide (also sold as Chipco Signature): Caution[1]
Drenches and potting mix for ornamentals
As a drench, mix 0.4 to 0.8 lb of product in 100 gallons and apply it over 400 sq ft, no more than once every 30 days. For rhododendron, azalea and pieris, 0.5 to 0.8 lb can be mixed into each cubic yard of potting mix against Phytophthora.[1]
Soil drenches on ornamental plants are capped at 4 a year per plant or container, while foliar sprays are allowed up to 11 times.[1]
Where it is used
It's a preventive product. Begin turf applications when conditions first favor disease, and treat ornamentals before disease develops, using the higher rate under severe pressure.[1]
Don't mow or water treated turf until the foliage is completely dry, and keep the tank agitated while spraying.[1]
Keep it away from copper: copper sprays and Aliette should be at least 14 days apart to avoid copper injury, and foliar fertilizers may not mix well either.[1]
Don't add stickers, extenders or wetting agents, and don't exceed label rates or intervals, which can injure plants.[1]
