- Active ingredient
- Hydrogen peroxide and peroxyacetic acid
- Chemical class
- Strong oxidizing agents that act on contact with the plant or surface being treated. The label describes the concentrate as corrosive.[1]
- Mode of action
- Contact oxidizer: oxidizes fungi, bacteria and algae it touches; no FRAC group is stated on the label[1]
- Signal word
- ZeroTol 2.0 (alternate brand names OxiDate 2.0, GreenClean Liquid 2.0, ZT 2.0): Danger[1]
Spotting after treatment
When it kills mildews living in leaf tissue, the label warns that small lesions or dried spots can appear where the organisms were. Stronger mixes than labeled can cause leaf burn.[1]
A professional product
This label is written for greenhouses, nurseries, turf managers and farms, with worker entry rules and handler protective gear. The undiluted liquid is corrosive and a strong oxidizer.[1]
Where it is used
Never use the concentrate undiluted, and never let it touch other pesticides, cleaners or oxidizers before dilution. Mix only with clean water.[1]
It works only where it touches, so wet every leaf surface, stem and stalk thoroughly. Spray in the morning or evening, not during intense heat or drought.[1]
Wait 48 to 72 hours after a copper or other metal-based spray before using it on foliage. Mix only what you need, since spray solution should not be stored.[1]
On turf, spray right after mowing for best results. For soil-borne diseases, drench affected areas with 5 to 10 gallons of mix per 1,000 sq ft.[1]

Safety and environmental hazards
People
Signal word DANGER: corrosive. It causes irreversible eye damage and skin burns, may be fatal if swallowed, and is harmful if inhaled or absorbed through skin. Wear goggles or a face shield and rubber gloves.[1]
Pets
Keep unprotected people out of treated areas until sprays have dried. The hazard statement covers humans and domestic animals alike.[1]
Bees and pollinators
Highly toxic to bees and other beneficial insects hit directly on blooming crops or weeds. Don't spray or let it drift onto blooms while bees are visiting, or onto crops using beneficial insects.[1]
Fish and water
Don't apply directly to water or where surface water is present. Treated seed left on the soil surface may be hazardous to birds, fish and aquatic invertebrates.[1]
Common questions
- What dilution of ZeroTol 2.0 is used on plants?
- For greenhouse ornamentals the curative spray is 1:100, about 1¼ fl oz per gallon of water. Preventive crop sprays run 1:200 to 1:400.[1]
- Does ZeroTol leave residue on plants?
- The label says it leaves no visible residue or distinct odor when used as directed. Treated crops can be sprayed up to the day of harvest.[1]
- How long until people can go back into a treated greenhouse?
- The restricted-entry interval is 1 hour after fogging or spraying in enclosed greenhouses, and zero hours for dips, drenches and other non-spray uses.[1]
