Limits on ornamentals

Greenhouse and nursery ornamentals get no more than 2 applications per crop cycle and 2 per year, and no more than 48 fl oz per 20,000 sq ft per year.[1]

It may not be applied by air or through irrigation, and citrus nurseries and greenhouse citrus are excluded. In Florida, commercial fruit trees and vines are off limits.[1]

Rotating Group 21A

IRAC lists fenpyroximate in 21A with fenazaquin, pyridaben, tebufenpyrad and tolfenpyrad. The label forbids back-to-back sprays of the same mode of action, so alternate with a different group.[2][1]

Where it is used

Mites stop feeding right after a spray and stop laying eggs, though they die 4 to 7 days later. It works on all moving mite stages.[1]

It acts mainly by contact, so thorough coverage of all plant parts matters; dense growth may need more spray volume.[1]

Treat while pest numbers are building, before damage. Test it on a few plants of each kind before treating a whole planting.[1]

Don't use a dormant oil or sticker-type adjuvant, and don't apply it as a smoke or aerosol.[1]
